The TEACCH Programme

This article illustrates the historical context in which the TEACCH Programme (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication Handicapped Children) was created. The values and objectives, intervention practices, implementation procedures, recipients, studies on effectiveness and critical aspects of this programme are then analysed and developed.
