Amongst the activities offered by the PHILOS Association, active in Genoa in the field of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), is a workshop on film dubbing that has been run for some years by Patrizia Da Rold. It is an extremely interesting activity for youths with high-functioning ASD as it gives them the opportunity to experiment with their expressive potentials in an environment as engaging as the cinema and as technological as that of a dubbing studio. A studio equipped with microphones and devices capable of bringing out their hidden talents whilst, at the same time, enabling them to progressively hone their verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
