School integration as experienced with a non-verbal autistic boy in the first year of primary school rose awareness in his peer group of understanding the characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders. Starting with careful analysis of initial behaviour, an educational programme was drawn up, aiming to create a child-tutor network, where all the key players involved contributed to developing greater integration, encouraging well being at school.
