The Evolution of Communicative Intentionality in Twins With a Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder

This paper aims to highlight how the use of the c.m.i.® approach (cognitive – motivational – individualized) has facilitated the construction of intentional thinking, which is orderly and more aligned with reality in twins diagnosed with psychomotor retardation and ASD (autism spectrum disorder). Specifically, the operational steps that allowed the subjects to move from a situation of spatial, object and relational disorientation to an initial space/object/motor act orientation and then to voluntary, intentional and communicative action will be analysed.
