Convention on «the Post Pandemic Period and New Strategies for the Social Life of People With Autism»

On the 23rd of September 2023, in Genoa, a convention was held. It came about from the collaboration between a company (P.L. Ferrari ) and the PHILOS centre, enabling the establishment of an interesting work placement project for a young adult with autism. This experience can be connected with other projects implemented in Liguria and other regions of Italy. The reasons for these, on emerging from the pandemic period, were the need to reflect on the «autism» situation, in order to identify its central aspects and, through debates among experts, formulate the strategies which in the immediate future could form the basis of new, significant changes for the social life of people with autism. All this while keeping in mind the important role of the school for outlining objectives to be reached, based upon close interaction between the learning process and the teaching process (Bruner, 1961).
