Language Disorders: Direct Rehabilitation and Telerehabilitation

Valeria Allamandri, Lucia Ballerini, Elettra Cerruti, Maria Carmela Valente

This article shows the process and the results obtained in the language rehabilitation of three children, through integrated speech therapist-family treatment: a girl with severe bilateral hearing loss (F90.3) and unilateral cochlear implant; a girl with specific disorder of expressive language (F80.1); a male late talker. Alongside traditional rehabilitation, the SPEECH App was used (Elicita and Chiacchiera Words Structure). This is an application from the digital platform RIDInet (Coop. Anastasis). It explains the rehabilitation process, highlighting the children’s levels at the beginning and at the end, through quantitative and qualitative assessments. Final considerations are expressed regarding the tools and the methods that were found to be the most efficient.
