The purpose of this study was to collect new normative data of the Boston Naming Test for Italian speakers (BNT), and to investigate the effects of age and gender on naming and world retrieval abilities. The 60-item version of the Boston Naming Test was administered to 665 healthy Italian children from 69 to 133 months (343 males and 322 females). Analysis of results showed that BNT performance was significantly affected by age but not by gender. Age predicted total score (42% of variance). These findings provide new and more extended Italians norms for the Boston Naming Test.
