Observational Study on Primary Presbyphagia in Residents of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region

28.68% of the subjects reported difficulty in swallowing. The percentage of subjects in the sample reporting symptoms is substantial and suggests the importance of screening for the early diagnosis of presbyphagia. The health and quality of life of our growing elderly population may be improved by timely intervention on swallowing problems.
