Anthropometric Analysis in Myofunctional Therapy

The stomatognathic apparatus is a complex system involving muscles, bones, teeth and neurological parts, with functional and morphological connections that have recently been studied. This article focuses on anthropometric analysis in the context of myofunctional therapy, providing detailed guidance for the definition of therapeutic goals and the use of pre- and post-treatment indicators of change. Anthropometric analysis offers a non-invasive, repeatable and low-cost approach to comprehensively assessing the stomatognathic apparatus, highlighting the interaction between its components and functional changes. The article explores the application of anthropometry in combination with myofunctional therapy and provides significant clinical data on a paediatric patient. The analysis of the results also shows how myofunctional therapy is important for achieving goals quickly and significantly, especially in combination with functional devices.
