The «Making it Together: Short Videos to Support Language Development» Project
Ilaria Cacopardo, Anna Cirulli
In this paper an indirect training approach to support language development in young children with a Primary Language Disorder is described. The training is based on the increase of quantity and quality of language communication involving children and their caregiver. Specifically, the importance of increasing the caregiver’s knowledge about language development in partner interactions is stressed. The target of the intervention was to increase the ability to observe, to be willing to communicate, to be responsive and to be able to reword messages. The results are discussed.
