Resources to Support Conversation for People with Aphasia
Federica Randone, Martina Mellana, Sarah Toscano, Rossella Muò
The study presents a qualitative investigation into the use of these resources in speech therapy practice. The project included 18 speech therapists who work with patients with acquired communication disorders across various rehabilitation settings. Therapists used the resources in their clinical practice and were subsequently interviewed, focusing on five main topics: general use of the resources, clinical setting, patient profile, and the structure and content of the resources. The results highlight the usefulness and adaptability of the resources, with some variations across settings and patient profiles, and encourage further development and implementation of these tools to promote the social participation of PwA.
