The paper presents a new tool, PAROLA, a web app for parents of children aged 24 to 36 months for supporting and promoting language development. The App PAROLA has been created within a research project of national relevance (PRIN 2022-MUR call) through the collaboration of scholars and researchers from three Italian universities that have long been involved in studies on communication and language development (the University of Bologna, the University of Padua and the University of L’Aquila). The app PAROLA offers innovative and interactive activities for stimulating children’s language, motor and socio-emotional skills, helping parents to enhance the home environment and enrich strategies to support communication and language development. Parents play a crucial role in observing their children’s development and fostering an enriching communicative environment that can support communication and language development. PAROLA is a practical and intuitive tool that allows parents to learn about communication and language development through a series of podcasts, to observe their children’s progress with dedicated questionnaires, and to promote learning through interactive activities and games for the whole family.
