The DIR/Floortime is a comprehensive developmental model formulated by Stanley Greenspan and Serena Wieder for the evaluation and treatment of children who have been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or other Neurodevelopment disorders. Dr.Greenspan’s model allows us to fully understand affectivity in intervention with a child and his /her family. In this therapeutic frame, in fact, affectivity is considered a central element that organizes experience in all areas of development, that promotes change and that supports learning in a meaningful and generalizable way. The research project presented in this article aims at verifying intervention outcome in reference to the DIR/Floortime model. It was planned by the multidisciplinary team in the private professional office «Per fare un albero». Single Case Study experimental classification, as recommended by international guidelines, is used to describe and analyse a child’s evolution together with his family, from February 2017 to February 2019. (The child, M., was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.) The TNPEE’s role is given ample space in the SCS because this role was privileged in connecting the network members and places so that M. be given maximum support for his participation in different areas of his life.
