Transformation of the universe into multiverse. Transculturalism as a practice of inclusion

Raffaele Tumino

The crucial step to be taken in inclusion practices is to grasp the substantial cross-cultural, mixed building of our identities. Referring to anthropological and pedagogical-philosophical literature on the subject, with particular attention paid to ethno-anthropology, the paper intends to draw attention to the need to abandon a monolithic model of culture and to adopt a transcultural one, which sees culture as deeply permeated by intertwining and hybridisation. In this way it is possible to grasp "migrant identities" as stories to be narrated both to oneself and to others, generating discursive and relational inclusion practices that allow new and shared social spaces to be created.
