One-Day International Conference Psychology of Selection and Assessment in the Challenges of Sustainable Development

IAAP Special Project «Promoting Decent Work for All»

The One-Day International Conference Psychology of Selection and Assessment in the Challenges of Sustainable Development, IAAP Special Project «Promoting Decent Work for All» will be held in hybrid modality on December 102025, at the Salone Brunelleschi of the Istituto degli Innocenti, Florence, Italy. The scientific event is part of a series of international conferences organized by Annamaria Di Fabio (Full Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology, Psychology of Sustainability and Sustainable Development, University of Florence, Italy, Member of the Board of Directors BoD of the International Association of Applied Psychology IAAP) within the IAAP Special Project «Promoting Decent Work for All», which the University of Florence has been in charge of since 2018, and re-appointed in 2022. The event will be organized by the Department of Education, Languages, Interculture, Literatures and Psychology of the University of Florence with the support of Division 1 «Work and Organizational Psychology» of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP). This conference is also being promoted by the UNESCO Chair «Lifelong Guidance and Counseling», coordinated by the University of Wroclaw (Poland), and the UniTwin Network «Life Designing Interventions (counseling, guidance and education) for decent work and sustainable development». It is also being promoted by the Italian Association of Psychology (Associazione Italiana di Psicologia, AIP). During the event, the Awards Ceremony for Excellence will be held, chaired by Annamaria Di Fabio and José María Peiró on behalf of the International Core Group Florence, and as moderator and for award ceremony conclusions, Gabriele Canè, Journalist, Past Director of the Carlino, Nazione, and Giorno newspapers and currently columnist of the most important Italian ones, President of Rotary Florence). 31st International Congress of Applied Psychology ICAP 2026 New Directions in Applied Psychology

The 31st International Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP 2026) will be held in Florence from 21 to 25 July 2026.

ICAP 2026 is the world conference of the IAAP International Association of Applied Psychology (https://iaapsy.org/), the most prestigious association of applied psychology, founded in 1920 (https://iaapsy.org/about/) with 18 divisions, and it takes place every four years.

The congress will bring together leading experts from around the world to share their cutting-edge research and insights in applied psychology. ICAP 2026 will showcase the latest discoveries in applied psychology and explore their potential to generate positive change on both a personal and societal level.

The Congress President is Giuseppe Scaratti (Full Professor, Director of the Human and Social Sciences Department, University of Bergamo, Italy).
